Brooke Fraser is set for a national concert tour next month, hot on the heels of the release of her sophomore album, “Albertine”. The tour, featuring Brooke with her American-based band, will commence in Brisbane on 26th April and wind up in Adelaide on 5th May, with tickets on sale from 15th March.
A native New Zealander now firmly based in Sydney, Brooke hit Aussie airwaves again back in February as the first single from “Albertine”, the gorgeous “Deciphering Me”, began picking up radio additions. Achieving top 5 most added at its first week at radio, “Deciphering Me” is growing every week, with airplay on stations from NOVA through to MIX and a stack of regionals in between!
“Albertine” is the follow up to Brooke’s 2004 debut, “What To Do With Daylight”. Recorded in Los Angeles through a Californian summer, “Albertine” was produced by Marshall Altman (Marc Broussard), and contains 12 tracks displaying Brooke’s sublime vocals and incredibly passionate songs to full effect.
As Brooke stated recently, “One of the things of which I’m most proud is that it would not be too much of a stretch to call this album “live” … it’s me and my friends sitting in a room, making music and meaning what we’re playing. Something pretty special happened in that studio…”
