Mick Harvey

Mick Harvey, co founded The Boys Next Door, The Birthday Party & the Bad Seeds with Nick Cave in the late 1970’s.

Although renowned for his career with The Birthday Party and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Mick is equally known for his soundtrack work (Chopper, To Have And To Hold, Australian Rules) and his production work (Anita Lane, Rowland S Howard and most recently PJ Harvey’s Mercury Prize winning album, Let England Shake).

He has released 6 solo albums including two albums of English interpretations of the songs of Serge Gainsbourg which he performed for the first time live at ATP’s Yeah Yeah Yeahs curated I’ll Be Your Mirror in 2013 followed by an Australian and European tour.

In 2014 he served as musical director and band member for “Pop Crimes: The Songs of Rowland S. Howard.”

He is currently working with PJ Harvey on her latest album.
