Roman Tucker (vocals, organ, Theremin), Dave Gray (bass guitar, fuzz bass) Kit Warhurst (drums, vocals) and Paul Maybury (guitar)
Rocket Science play trashy-psychedelic-garage-punk with new wave, no-wave art-punk enthusiasm. The bands point of view is creative and inspired by Roman Tucker’s song writing and influenced by the bands innovative take on music.
Formed in mid-1988 the band has released 4 full length albums and enjoyed numerous ep’s, singles and 12” releases both in Australia and overseas. Described as one of the greatest bands to see live in the world by Rolling Stone Magazine Rocket Science has received accolades and excitement from all over the world. Throughout the noughties, Rocket Science toured extensively and released albums in the UK, Europe, US and Japan.
After a 6-year hiatus Rocket Science has returned to the live gigging arena with plans to release a 5th album by the end of 2017. Since their return, Rocket Science performed the Mick Blood (Lime Spiders) benefit, headlined Boogie Festival in Victoria, supported The Scientist, did a show on the Evelyn Roof Top, headlined the Gasometer Hotel, and in 2017 performed to a sold-out crowd at Ding Dong Lounge.
Rocket Science are back and are ready to play.
