Amyl and the Sniffers are a four piece pub punk/rock band hailing from Melbourne. After forming in February 2016 they have been relentlessly dishing out their short, fast, Sharpie Punk to pubs and bars along the East Coast.
In February 2017 they released their second E.P ‘Big Attraction’ which gained The Sniffers a lot of praise and plays – including the opportunity to play live on PBS, spins on Triple J, international features and SYN FM’s Album of the Month.
“Frontwoman, Amy Taylor’s nasal vocals are something of an unconventional beauty. Her antagonistic persona and barebone snarls prove that frontwomen of punk are a force to be reckoned with. The call and response vocals provide an element of storytelling- akin to Eddy Current Suppression Ring.” – Tonedeaf.com.au
Formed in 2016, Melbourne garage-filth-punks Private Function have been consistently bringing their brand of Melbourne sticky-carpet pub fury to Australian live stages and floors.
Formed by Clowns and Mesa Cosa alumni Joe Hansen and Chris Penney, the stripped back no-holds-barred sound of the band condenses the roots of 1970’s Australian punk and its evolution to the present day.
With rave reviews and word-of-mouth spreading on the back of the now sold out Six Smokin’ Songs cassette and DIY video clips, the band enters 2017 with a relentless sonic vision and purpose.
